Description: This website is an initiative of the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute (TRPI), a nonprofit organization that advances informed policy on key issues affecting Latino communities through objective and timely research contributing to the betterment of the nation. TRPI is an affiliated research unit of the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning, and Development, and is associated with the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy at Columbia University. In September 2007, The John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation, The Sallie Mae Fund, and The Walt Disney Company funded the expansion of the directory so that it would be national, listing all organizations that TRPI could identify that award grants and scholarships targeting eligible Latino students.
Eligibility: *Must be of Hispanic Heritage *Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for High School Students/Minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for College and Graduate Students *Plan to enroll Full-Time in an accredited, not-for-profit, 4-year university or graduate school during the Fall of the scholarship cycle. *All majors and graduate fields can apply, however there is an emphasis on STEM majors.
Award Amount: The award amount ranges from $500 to $5,000 based on relative need.

Description: The mission of our Scholarship service is to give more American Indians and Alaskan Natives the resources and encouragement they need to learn and succeed. By harnessing the power of knowledge, these future leaders can bring about positive changes in their own lives and in their communities. Undergraduate: Applications submitted by eligible Native American students each spring are reviewed by members of the Scholarship Committee, who award the competitive grants. Up to $2,000 per year is paid directly to each recipient's college or university***. Grantees must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.0 and submit grades to us each semester. Graduate: Students must be enrolled between 6-18 credit hours so that the scholarship is accessible to both part time and full time graduate students. The level of scholarship funding is dependent on the number of hours enrolled in graduate studies. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or above in order to be eligible for the scholarship. Online courses and ABD (all but dissertation) are not applicable for the graduate scholarship. All American Indian/Alaska Native students who are enrolled in their tribe, or have a parent who is an enrolled member are eligible.
Eligibility: Applicants must be: of Native American or Alaska Native descent (student or one parent must be enrolled and have documentation); attending an accredited two or four year college/university or technical/vocational school; and be enrolled as a full-time student. A GPA of between 2.0 - 3.4 is desirable (but all current or future undergraduate college students are encouraged to apply). An ACT score of 14 or above is desirable.

Funding Source: Colorado Women's Education Foundation

Description: Colorado Women's Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to Colorado women of non-traditional student age. These women, usually single, have been widowed, abandoned, or divorced and may suddenly find themselves struggling to support themselves and their families. They realize that education is the key to becoming economically self-sufficient; and often times they are the first in their extended family to attend college. Since they are older, they are often forgotten or excluded by other scholarship programs. Our non-profit organization depends completely on donations and wants to do more to empower Colorado women.
Eligibility: Please ensure that you are able to answer YES to ALL four of the following items: Identity: You identify as a woman at least 25 years of age at the time of the application deadline. Residence:You are a resident of Colorado for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline. You reside in Colorado while earning your certification or degree. Education: You have enrolled in or already attending an accredited educational institution of higher learning or vocational training (earning a certification, or associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree.) Documents: Documents: You are able to provide a college or high school transcript, can be unofficial or a photocopy, including your name, institutions name, and showing your cumulative grade point average (GPA). ? Additionally, eligible applicants will need to demonstrate financial need, academic ability, leadership skills, career goals, and community involvement.

Funding Source: Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) - An affiliate of The World Bank Family Network (WBFN)

Description: Our mission is to assist women from developing countries who are pursuing their education with the aim of improving the lives of women and children in developing countries. MMEG is one of the few organizations that provides financial assistance to such women.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria: be a self-identifying woman, and at least 25 years old at time of application deadline; be a national of a country listed on the MMEG country eligibility list (except for the Trinity Washington University Program); be registered (not just accepted) at an accredited in-person academic institution and program when submitting their application; plan to be enrolled for at least one full academic semester (half-year term) after award of the MMEG grant; plan to graduate no later than three years after the award of the MMEG grant; not be related to a World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank staff member, spouse, retiree, or MMEG Board member.
Award Amount: In past years, grants of up to US$15,000 have been awarded in the US-Canada program. Grant amounts may vary, based on exchange rates and availability of funds.
